This is my first Sunday post in as long as I can remember so you know the topic HAS to be good.
Well, this weekend we visited my parents and they took over night duty for us. My husband got an uninterrupted full night of sleep so I feel so energized. Not as much as the energizer bunny…but close-ish.
When entering my parents’ home recently, I noticed their mistletoe bush. I’m not sure how I missed it during all the years I lived there. But seeing it now gets me excited for Christmastime (I count this week as such), which is my absolute favorite time of the year, especially here in NYC.
Speaking of Christmastime, here is a list of what I’m looking forward to this holiday season:
• Spending the holidays with our baby. I’ve looked forward to this for so long. Christmas with kids is something my husband and I have always excitedly spoken about.
• Taking Santa photos and family photos at a tree farm. I’m excited to see what Seb’s reaction to the big guy is.
• Matching holiday outfits and Christmas pajamas. I’ve been eyeing these for SO LONG. I think I have our pajamas picked and have Seb’s Christmas outfit set. Now to find coordinating outfits to go with t.
• Christmas movies and music. When I walked into our apartment on November 1st, my husband had a Hallmark Christmas movie, my favorite kind, playing. Since then it’s been tough to find the time to watch them but I’m making sure to over the next few weeks.
This time of year is so special. People are in higher spirits, kindness in flowing and there is much cheer. Given the political climate in the country, I have a feeling it’ll be extra special and needed.
Be of good cheer–it’s the happiest time of the year!
