He took the initiative and said “Hi I remember you from [high school]… You and your buddies took me into your group when the girls were bullying me.” Now, I only remember it vaguely but I was so touched that he remembered and happy to have helped him, if even just slightly. And then we just started talking about what he was up to and how he’s been. My whole day, possibly week, was made better.
Anti-Bullying
I was going to blog about something completely different today but I had a very moving experience on my way home from work & school last night. I got onto the bus after having taken the subway and I sat down. I noticed a young man across from me and he smiled. I smiled back. We recognized one other.
This goes without saying but bullying is never okay. I will teach my children this, to stand up against bullies & not to just stand by or join in if someone is getting bullied.
Let’s all teach the future generations to respect everyone. Let’s all help end bullying once and for all.
P.S. Stop by tomorrow to read all about how Tim and I met! I’m excited to publicly share our story for the first time 🙂

I was a mean girl in high school. I am 30 and I am still guilty about it.

Wonderful post! I was bullied in school and it still hurts sometimes.
