Today I am blogging about a philanthropy that’s dear to my heart just because it’s amazing: the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon.
Taken from its website, thon.org, “The Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, affectionately known as THON, is a yearlong effort to raise funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer. Since 1977, THON has raised more than [$100] million for the Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital . . . The mission of the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon is to conquer pediatric cancer by providing outstanding emotional and financial support to the children, families, researchers, and staff of the Four Diamonds Fund. FTK! [For the Kids!] . . . THON 2013 [took] place from February 15th-17th, 2013 at Penn State’s Bryce Jordan Center.”
