Moving Onward

As my last post suggested, there are really exciting things on the horizon for Tim and me. I‘m excited, nervous and everything in between. We didn’t really plan on moving from Chicago so soon but it just sort of worked out. I’ll be giving more details eventually. Until then this is on repeat in my head:

Last Month in Chi

In honor of July being our last month here, I kicked it off with a run on the Lakefront. 

Yes, you read that correctly. Tim and I are moving this month. I’ve accepted a job elsewhere and so our adventures continue. We are so excited but I have to admit I’m really nervous.
I’ve had so many thoughts running through my head –is this the better decision? what if we hate living in such an expensive city? should we stay here a few more years? do I keep missing out on family moments? Ultimately it was that last question which was the catalyst for our move.

He loved me first

He’s the first man who loved me. I am so thankful he’s always been by my side (no matter how far apart we’ve been) and guided me through life. I aspire to be the cool, calm and collective hard worker that he is. I am so proud to be his little girl and we are so lucky to have him.

Every now and then I mope about superficial things: not being rich, not having Kourtney Kardashian’s body, not being creative enough. And then I realize everything I have is everything I need. I might not feel like I have it all, all the time, but in reality I really do.

A Sliver of Sunshine

This weekend (Friday-Sunday…I was home sick yesterday) was pretty relaxing. Saturday was comprised of shopping, walking and eating. Sunday was spent mostly indoors because it was cloudy …but when I saw the sunshine at 3:50 PM, I decided we should go to the beach. 

Currently having the beach a block away is certainly not something I want to take advantage of. So we went, only for the sun to almost immediately go away and the clouds to make a comeback. We still stayed for a bit, ending our beach time with some frisbee. We then headed to froyo and picked up dinner. (We don’t cook much during the weekend here.) 

At least we tried, right?
