On my wish list is to have as much family time as possible … on this little one’s is probably to be able to run around as much as he wants.

December is just a few days away! Holiday Season has arrived, which means holiday shopping is in full swing. I recently explained a little bit of what’s on our Wish List this Christmas on my Instagram:
While it might sound clichey, family time really is the biggest non-material thing I hope to get as much of, aside from good health, of course. Life has been hectic and busy and go-go-go, or so it seems. Some days, I want to hit a pause button, and lately, I’ve been wishing for slower living. While I’m not sure that will happen soon, I do know it is a goal of mine … maybe that will go on my 2018 goal list.
As for material items on my Wish List, if I had to pick some things I would pick these Victoria Emerson boho cuff and wrap bracelet. They are shiny, stylish and made with beautiful stones and materials. The cuff looks like it is multiple bracelets in one — I wore my cuff on Thanksgiving and got many compliments on it! It is well made and feels elegant when worn. The wrap bracelet looks simply chic, too — like a wrist staple. These are currently my favorite wrist candy.
Be sure to check out the sales currently going on at Victoria Emerson! I think the special lady/ladies in your life will surely love to receive these this Holiday Season.
Pregnancy Update: How I’m Feeling + What I’m Wearing
This post is sponsored by Pink Blush. All opinions are my own.
How I’m Feeling:
I am still nauseous. Some days, like Sunday, it hits me in the middle of the day. Other days, like today, it hits me in as soon as I get out of bed. My saving grace has been seltzer water, which I normally do not enjoy but now love. Aside from the nausea (and sometimes faint feeling), I am getting more and more excited! Connecting with this pregnancy has been very different than my pregnancy with S, though (post coming soon). I’m thinking it has to do with a mix of things — being super busy, moving (post also coming soon), and simply being at a different stage in life.
What I’m Wearing:
I’m already wearing some maternity clothes from Pink Blush. Many of their tops can also be worn as non-maternity, though, which I have also done. I just find the clothes to be fashionable and not frumpy, thankfully. I’m especially a fan of their tops and tunics (above), which can be worn with leggings. I recently got my first pair of maternity jeans (similar) this pregnancy and love them. My only suggestion would be to size down because after a few hours, they were falling on me.
All in all, I can’t believe I’m almost at the halfway point with this pregnancy. It honestly feels surreal. I’m still so nervous about going from one kiddo to two under two but I know it’ll be just fine and so worth it.
My Pregnancy Emotions Remind me to be Grateful
I experienced some intense pregnancy emotions this week… so I’m just trying my best to remain present and grateful, and what better time than Thanksgiving week?
- Crying to your mom will never get old. And she might even cry with you, not necessarily because she’s feeling what you’re feeling but probably because she hates to see you upset. I am so much more grateful for my mom and dad now that I’ve become a parent myself.
- Having a village is pretty necessary. To vent to. To laugh with. To get help from… To take photos of you for your blog and Instagram (I’m looking at you, Tim and Lou, my Instagram Husband and Instagram Brother haha!). In all seriousness, I don’t know what I’d do without family and friends. The support does not go unnoticed.
- Being married to a husband who empathizes is so important. Someone who’ll hold you and rationalize what you’re feeling because you’re feeling A LOT. Pregnancy hormones are no joke–neither are postpartum ones–but having a loving partner makes navigating pregnancy (and life) so. much. easier.
- A toddler who doesn’t necessarily get that you’re tired or feeling sick. Said toddler will want your love and affection when he wants it. And sometimes, the go-go-go will make you feel better. Lighter. And remind you that at the end of the pregnancy experience you get another little, which is pretty darn amazing! Plus, being his mom is the best thing ever so getting off the couch to chase him feels like an honor instead of a hassle.
- Life. Life is a gift. Pregnancy is a gift. Everyday is a gift.
Of course, I’m also thankful for all of you who are reading.:) Wishing you and your family a very Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving!
