12 Lessons in 12 Months: My First Year of Motherhood
1. There is no love like this love. The love between a parent and child is incomparable. I seriously think my heart could burst some days, he makes it so full. It’s as simple as that. Even though it doesn’t feel simple at all. Love never is, I suppose. Basically, I am obsessed with him. And everyday as his his mom has been the best day of my life.
This has really been the best year and adventure of my life.
Good for You, and Good for Me
I think we’re socialized to think the world is all me vs. you… and it’s no different in blog or social media land. We compare and compete as if there isn’t space for everyone to succeed. News flash: there is.
Because we can all succeed. And you can and should be happy about someone else’s success while still celebrating your own. I mean, how crappy would it be to constantly be down on yourself while achieving your own milestones? Doing so isn’t going to get you anywhere.
Stop comparing. Start d o i n g.
#momentsofmusing
Because we all have our moments.
Of happiness, sadness, hope and despair. As a woman and mom, there are many. And I love reading and hearing about them all. Some make me laugh. Others make me cry… They ALL make me feel less alone on this journey {of motherhood, marriage, motivation, and self love}.
We all have our moments. Share yours.
Riding the Waves of Blogging
I hope you all had a great weekend! Ours was lowkey and relaxing, which was welcomed after a week jam-packed with parties, family visiting and a mini getaway. (Check out my Instagram for more.)
Instead of weekend recap, though, I’m going to be talking about something that’s been on my mind for a bit: blogging. I’ve been reading a lot of posts about how it has changed (i.e. this Vintage Blogging post that I recently shared) and I couldn’t agree more.
