When telling my husband today is his day, he said, “No. Today is everyone’s day. Everybody benefits.” I sure do love that man and I’m proud to call him my husband and father of our son.
He and all of our veterans are a reason I believe our country has been and always will be great. They sacrifice so much for relatively little in return. They put their lives on the line for the American people. They dedicate most of their time and energy to serving our country to keep us free here on the Homefront.
Our country would not be the country it is without them. We owe them so much because they’ve given much of themselves for us.
Today, thank every veteran you know. It’s the least we can do.
