This year, our Christmastime is in NYC and I couldn’t be happier. Sure, there are things I miss about Chicago but constantly being away from family there, especially during the holidays, is definitely not one of them.
Here’s what our holiday season has looked like so far:
Our first real Christmas tree — I’m a big fan of real trees and their smell so I was really excited to buy this gem.
The Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall — We saw the show, which was great, with family on Thanksgiving Eve.
The Union Square Chriskindlmarket– Honestly, we liked Chicago’s more BUT this one was cute. And yummy! After Max Brenner’s served us spoiled cake for dessert, we opted for dessert at Waffles & Dinges. That up there is a delicious Nutella and strawberry sugar waffle with whipped cream.
Secret Santa Girls Night– This has become a little tradition for my best friends and me. It’s a way to see each other at Christmastime and buy each their presents without breaking the bank–our limit is $25. You’d be surprised at the goodies we each score year after year despite this seemingly small budget!
So tell me, what have you been up to this holiday season?
Jen
I would love to see the Christmas Spectacular someday, it sounds amazing!
