I am always grateful for what I have, and sometime for what I have not.
Today, I’m feeling extra mushy inside and I am grateful for my life.
Particularly that some of my greatest life happenings happened within ONE WEEK.
I am living in a beautiful new city.
I am an attorney.
I have a job that makes a difference and that I enjoy.
I am engaged to be married to a man with the biggest heart — his great looks are just a bonus.
And all of the above came about the last week of October.
How does that stuff happen? Doesn’t it only happen in movies? Or to other people?
No, it does not. Beautiful, blessed things happen everyday to normal people like myself. I am living proof. I think it’s important for us to acknowledge these blessings. As for me, on moments when I find myself sad or stressed, I think back to that week. I think ahead to Tim forever with me. To our wedding day. And the sadness and stress disappear.
Because how could I possibly feel anything but happiness when thinking about those things?
On this early groggy morning, I’m grateful for the weekend!
