This weekend I got together with coworkers for the first time. It was nice. And then I hopped in a taxi and was home within 5-10 minutes. I absolutely love city living.
Sometimes, though, I do get pangs of homesickness. Not so much for NYC — though it is a kickass place — as for my loved ones. So when I do get those feelings, I hop in my elevator and go to the roof. This is my view.
I look around and see this … and I am reminded of the beauty that surrounds me and suddenly I feel all better.
Oh, and then I looked out my window because I heard Christmas music. Lo and behold, the Magnificent Mile Light Festival Parade comes down my street.
