This past weekend was spent in the country in Michigan with Tim and his family sitting by the lake, riding dirt bikes and four wheelers, cooking over bonfires, camping, and going to my first NASCAR race. I have to admit I was hesistant to go. I’m a big city girl, as in I was born and raised in NYC. It’ll be fun, Tim said. And a lot of fun it was. I am so happy I went and I’m looking forward to next year already!
It got me to thinking that many of the experiences I’ve enjoyed most have pushed me outside of my comfort zone. Penn State was in the middle of farmland PA. Skydiving occurred 15,000 feet in the air. Sharkdiving involved me swimming in a cage surrounded by about 15 Galapagos sharks.
Time and time again, I’m inclined to let go of my fears and hesitations and have the time of my life. Life is precious–why not make the most of it?
(And yes, I know we’re almost at this weekend already and I’m blogging about last weekend. I’ve taken a bit of a hiatus from the blog while I live life, wedding plan… and figure out what I want to do with this space.)

I am so glad that you went, my Dad's side of the family is from Michigan and it is such a cool place to visit. 🙂

Hope you are enjoying your time with family! I've never been to a NASCAR race, but oddly enough would like to go some day. LOL
