Motherhood motivates me.
Motherhood has empowered me.
Motherhood is my muse.
Of all the hats I’ve worn, “Mama” has been the most exciting and empowering (and also the most tiring). Mom is not all that I am but it has been the most transformative journey.
I’ve grown two humans, care for them, provide for them, and I am responsible for helping to mold them into the people they will become. I don’t know of a greater privilege and honor than that. I truly don’t think one exists.
None of this is to say that it has not had its challenges, though. It’s a learning process and I’ve got a lifetime of learning to do.
